4 Hats
In this lesson I used the color and swatches palettes, they let you apply, modify, and save colors in your artwork. You had to use the CMYK paint to blend the colors. I had to paint with, create, and edit colors. Name and save colors and build a color palette. Copy paint and appearance from one object to another. The hardest part was adjusting the saturation of a color. The easy part was painting with gradients, patterns, and brushes. If I would do anything differently I would have mmade the second block a little less transparent.
Radio
In this lesson you learn how to use the transparency feature in Adobe Illustrator. By using this you have to use the transparency palette. You also had to change the opacity of objects, use blending modes, and use group options for transparency. The hardest part was isolating the blending, for me this was diffucult. If I had to do this project different I would have blended it better, making it look more transparent. Using the opacity masks was also a diffucult thing to do and if I could do that differently I would have.
Lesson 7
In this lesson you work with layers, and constructing them. Layers let you organize work into distinct levels that can be edited and viewed as individual units. Every Adobe Illustrator document contains at least one layer. Creating multiple layers in your artwork lets you easily control how it is printed and edited. I learned how to move objects between layers, merge layers into a single layer and make a layer a clipping mask. The hardest part was pasting layers of objects from one file to another. If I had to redo this lesson over I would have created, rearrange, and lock layers differently making the picture slightly different.
Fish
During this activity I learned how to create different layers into this fish. At first I made all the scales individually and it took up too much time, so instead I made one layer of scales and used the sprayer tool to distribute them all over the fish itself. Before that I made the fish a light green tint to make it appear light when the scales are over it. If I was to change anything on my fish I would have colored it differently and blended it a little more.
Portrait
This project was the most difficult out of every project in term two. I had to do different layers for each piece of his face. The nose and eyes were the hardest part to accomplish. I had to blend colors together because the colors were really harsh on his face. I had to do the white on his eyes by myself because it kept turning brown every time I used the dropper tool. To make different shapes on his face I used the pencil tool then I chose the correct skin tone to use. If I could change anything differently I would have used a different portrait because mine was not very detailed.
Hamster
I chose to create a hamster in adobe photoshop and illustrator. I used the selection tool to select the area of the hamster, next I clicked on the pencil tool to outline the area I wanted to color, once that was selected I used the eyedropper tool. The eyedropper tool colors in the area that you've selected. If I was to change this image I would have used more brown coloring.
